Public Sector

Embedded systems for government programmes, built to a scope and a paper trail that pass procurement review.

Every requirement traceable to a design record, a test result and a signature, ending in a pack you can re-tender against.Requirementtender · scopeDesign recordschematic · reviewBuildversioned buildAcceptancecriteria up frontTest evidenceEMC · safety · FATHand-over packsources · layersMaintainin house or re-let

The problem

What makes it hard

  • Integration risk sits with the buying department when the board, firmware and BSP come from separate contractors.

  • The vendor file needs company facts, registrations and a written scope statement before a purchase order can move.

  • Long-life deployments need a maintained BSP and a signed update path years after the original programme has closed.

What this needs

Relevant capabilities

  • Embedded Linux & YoctoReproducible Yocto builds with licence compliance and update signing done first, not deferred until expensive.
  • PCB DesignBoards designed for signal integrity, power and manufacture from the first schematic sheet.
  • FirmwareFirmware written against the board we designed, so a driver bug is traced to the wire, not a datasheet guess.
  • Industrial Data GatewaysField protocols behave badly; the gateway is where that gets handled, with buffering that survives a dropped link.
  • IoT ConnectivityField devices onto a network, provisioned with identity and an update path that still works in year five.

For your vendor file

Scope, company facts and a delivery record in one document.

Procurement panel

  • Procurement notes — One accountable team holds PCB, firmware, BSP, control and connectivity, so there is a single point of responsibility on the contract and no subcontractor chain to arbitrate. Scope and acceptance criteria are agreed in writing before work starts. Hand-over includes the Yocto layers, build instructions and the design files, so the system can be maintained in house or re-tendered without us. Registrations, empanelments and current certificates — with numbers and validity dates — are shared on request for the vendor file.
